Haircut

So I don’t know if you heard, but I’m going to get a haircut. Now, I used to get my wife to just drag a trimmer with a #2 guard on it across my noggin and call it a day. In the thick of my Lenten fast exposure, I actually went to a barber and left some hair on top and used a fancy-pants styling product. But I’m going to do something a bit different on June 4th. I’m going to shave my head bald. And I’m doing it in support of St. Baldrick’s, a foundation committed to funding the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long, healthy lives. Heck yes!

But is this just slacktivision? Wear-a-band, share-a-meme, post-a-ridiculous-heart-wrenching-status type thing? No. No it is not.  I have set a fund-raising goal of $2500.00. And that, dear reader is where you can help out. I am humbly asking you to part with a few of your hard-earned dollars to support this awesome charity. I’ve actually already pulled in a few donations, which is awesome, and I am so thankful. But because I know that just having somebody ask, hat in hand, can get a bit old, I’ll put something else in my hand. Namely: beer and swag.

I’ll be running contests for stuff, for people who donate. So to kick it off, I’ve got a bottle of a pretty rare beer. Specifically, one of the bottles of Brewmaster’s Tithe that I lived off of through Lent. All donations greater than $1 I receive before 12pm EST tomorrow (Thursday May 15th, 2014), including donations already received (you are now entered to win!) will be entered into a drawing for the 650ml bottle. Donate $20 or more and I’ll include you in the following draw too. Donate $100 or more and you’ll be entered into every draw until June 4th.
