Commemorating an event the right way

So, those of you who follow this type of thing, will likely already have heard that the Okanagan Springs Brewery had a fermenter blow-up.  No injuries, but a lot of something that is a bit more then wort, and not quite beer spread around.  While this type of news is not uncommon in the beer world, it does beg the question:  What to do to ensure this disaster is properly cemented in the minds of Canadians and the World?  The answer is easy:  Gordon Lightfoot gave us “The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald” to capture the force of the Great Lakes, The Tragically Hip gave us “Wheat Kings” to remind us of legal injustice and our part in it, Peggy Seeger gave us “The Ballad of Spring Hill” as a chilling reminder of the cost of greed, Eric Bogle penned the epic “The Band Played Waltzing Matilda” to question the validity of war, Robbie Robertson created the masterpeice that is “The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down” to relate the pain and suffering, yet immense pride of defending your values, and now Jordan St. John has continued in the old tradition, and recorded “The Wreck of the Okanagan Springs Brewery”.  I can only imagine it will be days, weeks at most, until Eddie Vedder becomes the first man to cover it, though I’m not sure he can quite live up to Jordan’s deep voice.
